Wingsの講師として活躍中。元・インテリアデザイナーで、YouTubeやブログでは
日本での暮らしや特技のCGワーク、デザインに関する情報を発信している。
Wingsでは最も長く在籍する「伝説のパートタイム講師」として、子ども達や
スタッフからの信頼も厚い存在。
昔からデザインや創作活動が大好きで、オーストラリアでは建築を学び、マレーシアではインテリアデザイナーとして活動していました。夫の日本赴任に伴って来日してから、もう10年。最初は文化や宗教の違いに不安もありましたが、それは取り越し苦労でした。Wingsではラマダンなど、イスラム教徒としてのライフスタイルにも柔軟に対応してもらえて、とてもありがたいと感じています。
英語は私にとって第二外国語。だからこそ、英語を学ぶ子ども達の気持ちに深く共感できます。子ども達の気持ちに寄り添いながら、安心して学べる環境づくりを大切にしています。
私の子どもも日本で生まれ、今はWingsの「子連れ出勤制度」を利用して一緒に出勤しています。息子と同じ時間を過ごしながら働けることに、日々幸せを感じています。実は、来月（※2025年4月取材当時）第2子を出産予定。出産休暇の後には、またWingsに戻ってこられる日を楽しみにしています。最近は陶芸も学び始め、将来的には子ども達にアートを教えられるスタジオを開くのが夢。教育とアートで、子ども達の創造力を伸ばしていきたいと思っています。
I have always loved design and creative activities. I studied architecture in Australia and worked as an interior designer in Malaysia. It has been 10 years since I came to Japan when my husband was posted to Japan. At first I was worried about the cultural and religious differences, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as Wings has been very flexible in accommodating my Muslim lifestyle, including Ramadan.
English is my second language. That is why I can deeply empathize with the feelings of children who are learning English. I place great importance on creating a safe environment for children to learn while being attentive to their feelings.
My child was also born in Japan, and now I go to work with him using Wings’ “Bring Your Child to Work” system. I feel happy every day to be able to work while spending the same amount of time with my son. In fact, I am expecting my second child next month (*at the time of the interview in April 2025). I am looking forward to coming back to Wings after my maternity leave. She has recently started learning pottery, and her dream is to open a studio where she can teach art to children in the future. Through education and art, I hope to develop children’s creativity.
